TERMS & CONDITIONS

Client ("Owner")

1. Services Provided

The Sitter/Walker agrees to provide the following services:

• Pet sitting (in-home or drop-in visits)

• Dog walking

• Feeding, watering, and administering basic medications (if specified)

• General care and companionship

• Maintaining a clean environment for the pet(s)

Services will be provided during the dates/times agreed upon between the Sitter/Walker and the Owner in writing (text/email) or as booked in requested appointment.

2. Owner's Responsibilities

The Owner agrees to:

• Provide safe access to the home and pet supplies

• Disclose any known behavioral or medical conditions or allergies

• Notify the Sitter/Walker of any changes in the pet’s health or behavior

• Ensure all pets are up-to-date on vaccinations

• Provide a leash, collar/harness, and identification tags for walks

3. Insurance and Liability

The Pet Sitter is covered by Pet Sitters Associates Liability Insurance which may provide protection against accidental injury to pets and damage to property during pet sitting.

The Pet Sitter agrees to provide proof of insurance upon request.

The Client understands that while all reasonable care will be taken, accidents can occur. The Pet Sitter shall not be held liable for injury, death, or loss of pet(s) unless due to proven gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

The Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Pet Sitter from any and all liability for injuries to the Client’s pet(s) or third parties that occur while the pet is under the care of the Pet Sitter.

If a pet becomes ill or is injured, the Sitter/Walker will make reasonable efforts to contact the Owner. If the Owner is unreachable, the Sitter/Walker is authorized to seek veterinary care. The Sitter/Walker will attempt to reach the preferred vet on file or the nearest vet by proximity. The Owner agrees to reimburse any veterinary costs and transportation expenses.

4. Liability Waiver

The Owner agrees to hold the Sitter/Walker harmless from:

• Any injuries to the pet(s) during care

• Any injuries the pet(s) cause to other animals, people, or property during care

• Any damage to the Owner’s property caused by the pet(s)

The Sitter/Walker is not responsible for:

• Illness, injury, death, or escape of pets

• Theft or damage to the Owner's home

5. Aggressive or Dangerous Pets

If a pet exhibits aggressive behavior or is deemed a safety risk, the Sitter/Walker reserves the right to:

• Refuse or terminate services without notice

6. Cancellations and Fees

Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours in advance. If notified in advance, exceptions may be made for inclement weather, medical conditions, family emergencies, etc.

Late cancellations may incur a fee.

Flexible schedules must be requested in advance by the Owner, and may be exempt from the cancellation policy.

7. Deposit Policy

For house-sits, a nonrefundable deposit of 10% is required to secure your booking.

• This deposit will be applied toward the total invoice amount.

• Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit is received.

• If the service is canceled by the client for any reason, the deposit will not be refunded.

Payment for house-sitting services is due by time of service, unless otherwise agreed.

7. Photos and Updates

The Owner agrees that the Sitter/Walker may take photos or videos of the pet(s) for updates or promotional use unless the Owner opts out in writing.

8. Governing Law

This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the state of New Hampshire.
