About Lily
Born and raised in the US Midwest, I’ve always had animals around for as long as I can remember. I've lived in 6 different states over the years. I've spent most of my life in New England at this point, and don't think I'll ever willingly leave. I'm a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and I worked in software engineering and web development for 7 years before changing paths.
Pet-sitting is now my full-time occupation and I enjoy every second I spend with your pets!
About my pets
I've had many pets over the years: goldfish, a betta fish, guinea pigs, a Siberian husky, and now my current rabbit companion, Izzy. No matter what they may be, I’ve always sought to care for each pet with their own unique needs, natural behavioral tendencies, and wants in mind.
Izzy
Lionhead Rabbit
Age: 12 years, 9 months
Weight: 1 lb 6 oz
Sweet and independent, she's been with me since she was 4 months old as a single, free-roam house bunny. She's litterbox-trained and spends most of her time snoozing in the living room. She likes to be rubbed between the ears, but not too low on her nose.
Her favorite veggies are carrot tops, basil, and cilantro.
She has cataracts in both eyes, but gets around well on her own with her other senses. She's had arthritis for several years now, but doesn't let that stop her if she really wants to zoom!
Damien
Domestic Shorthair Cat
Age: 16 years, 3 months
Weight: 10 lbs
Feisty and dignified, Damien loves getting attention and lying in the sun. He's the king of the house and has never been one to get his paws dirty. He acts tough… but has no hunter instinct whatsover.
His weaknesses are cuddling with his favorite people, chicken, and soft velvet blankets.
As he's gotten older, he no longer jumps very high or plays very much. He sleeps a lot in the sun by the window in his cat tree, when he's not being tormented by the birds and squirrels.
